HTA Whitehot 105A

A bull that needs very little introduction in the Charolais breed, he was arguably the most influential bull of his time. Producing bulls that were in high demand from commercial and purebred breeders alike with awesome hair coats, performance and testicular development, he further proved himself with his daughters having flawless udders, strong maternal traits and are still to this day extremely sound and functional. Pictured below are examples of two of his daughters that we raised and used in our embryo program being foundation females for us.

CS PLD Junction 4J

We purchased Junction the 1999 Breeders Classic Champion that fall with Wilgenbush Charolais from the Hi-Weigh Breeders sale in Brandon Manitoba. The purchase of Junction has shaped our herd immensely with all of his progeny having excellent hair coats, awesome performance and they’re extremely easy doing cattle. With over 400 progeny registered in Canada he is a trait leader the top 10% of the breed for WW and YW. In Australia he is in the top 10% for BW, 400 day weight and similarly for 600 day weight. We used him heavily on heifers and continue to do so to this day, his sons are very well accepted still and his daughters have been the cornerstone of our program for the past 8 years.

Sparrows Alcatraz 18N

When Alcatraz was a top seller in the A. Sparrows bull sale in the spring of 2004 weknew that we had to be a-part of this exciting herd sire. We purchased the Manitoba semen rights on him and used him extensively in our herd in the next several years. The results were even better than we hoped for leaving us a set of females that moderate with great soundness, excellent volume and depth with flawless udders! His sons were sought after by commercial and purebred breeder’s a like topping sales year after year across Canada.

DYV SVY RIO 17P

We bought Rio the spring of 2005 from the 86th Annual Pride of the Prairies Bull Sale where he was the high seller with Sliding Hills Charolais. His sire LT RIO BLANCO 1234P was an outcross sire coming from the states that packed an extreme punch of performance but our favourite part of Rio is his mother Sparrows Tempest 174K, a picture perfect powerful cow that has been extremely influential in the last decade in the Charolais breed in Canada. His sons were in high demand right from the start with his daughters turning out to be the best part of Rio; they are consistent producers with great udders and awesome volume, substance and style!
