Former Charolais Breeder Passes

Ernie Esau formerly of Ernmore Polled Charolais, Elm Creek, MB passed away Oct. 26th in Carmen at the age of 87. Ernie was a keen learner and taught anyone that wanted to learn about observing livestock. I worked with Ernie for over 20 years while he was in the Charolais Industry and saw him promote his cattle and Manitoba across North America. His trophy and ribbon room showed the countless shows right across Canada that he participated in and succeeded at. Ernie sat on the Canadian Charolais Association board of directors from 1991 to 1996 and was inducted into the Manitoba Agriculture Hall of Fame in 2019.
