JudgeTy Dietrich, Forestburg, AB selected Elyse Herder’s charcross steer as his Grand Champion Steer at the June 2, 2026 Camrose District Interclub 4-H Show & Sale in Bashaw. Her steer “Burnzy” weighed 1640 lb, had an ADG of 4.34 lb/day and sold for $8/lb to Vold Jones & Vold, Ponoka.

Luke Brooke, Viking (AB) exhibited the Grand Champion Steer at the May 25th Vegreville 4-H Beef Club Show & Sale. Luke’s Charolais sired steer ”Amnesia” weighed 1406 lb and was purchased by Canadian Pressure Testing of  Vegreville.  Mark Shologan, Myrnam judged the show.

The Saskatchewan Charolais Association Board of Directors held their 63rd Annual General Meeting on June 11th at The Willows Golf Club in Saskatoon. Dale Weinbender, Canora, SK is staying on as president, 1st Vice-President remains Justin Cay, Kinistino and Scott Sunderland, Saint Front continues as 2nd Vice-President. Sarah Hordos retains her job as Secretary-Treasurer. Mason Beck, Milestone and Cassidi Elder, Coronach were newly elected to the board of directors.
