Rollin’ Acres Charolais was established in 1995 by Chester and Michael Tupling. It began with two 4-H calves that were bought from Patton Charolais. Chester and Michael very quickly knew that the Charolais breed was the direction that Rollin’ Acres wanted to go. With much appreciated guidance and support from Patton Charolais, two young teenagers began a herd of Full French based Charolais cows.
Through showing, buying and selling cattle at pure bred shows and sales throughout Canada, Chester and Michael in the Rollin’ Acres name began their much enjoyed and loved journey, becoming part of the Charolais family of breeders and friends.
In 2004 Chester and Michael ventured to Olds, Alberta to participate in their first ever Full French Sale where they sold Rollin’ Acres Rally 33M to Stutheit Charolais, which in turn was high selling bull. In the same year, Chester extended his family and married Karla. In 2006, Rollin’ Acres attended the World Charolais Beef Congress in Edmonton where they exhibited and showed in their first ever Full French Charolais show. In 2007 Michael then extended his family marrying Shannon. As a family of four, they enjoyed partnering with many friends in the Charolais breed including Saunders Charolais, Whiskey Hollow Cattle Company, High Bluff Stock Farms, Patton Charolais and CM Cattle Co. From there life became very busy as Chester and Karla welcomed Griffin in November of 2008 and Mike and Shannon welcomed Myah in May of 2009.
Just when they all thought life was near perfect, Rollin’ Acres experienced unexpected sadness with the loss of a brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. Michael passed away on September 21, 2010 as a result of a farm accident. As hard as it has been, Rollin’s Acres has continued on its journey in the Charolais breed with friends and family beside them. The Rollin’ Acres family has continued to grow as we welcomed Shannon’s new addition in January 2011 and Chester & Karla's new addition in November 2012.
