Saskatchewan Charolais Breeder Passes

Blair Campbell, Campbell Charolais, Griffin, SK passed away Saturday, May 14th from a heart attack. He and his daughter Janelle have been in the Charolais business for many years. A big man he was always cheerful with a big smile. As per his wishes there will just be a private family service.

Alberta Charolais Breeder Passes

Harold Alexander Taylor of Chauvin, AB passed away May 9th at the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital at the age of 93 years. A Charolais enthusiast for over 40 years of Poplar Bluff Stock Farm. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Georgina, two children John (Kirsten)Taylor, Janice (Kevin) Wirsta along with four grandchildren Brad Taylor, Garret Taylor, Kailey Wirsta, Lexi Wirsta and three great grandchildren, Cooper, Rosalie, Gracelynn. Harold was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Jessie; one brother, Robert Taylor.

Keeping with Harold’s wishes cremation has taken place and no public formal services will be conducted. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Wainwright Auxiliary Hospital Patient Comfort Fund or to the charity of the donors choice.

Charolais Win Holden 4-H Show

Tuf Bratrud’s Charolais heifer WGD Miss Tiffany 34J (Reese Duke 239D daughter) won Grand Champion Heifer and Supreme Female at the April 30 Holden (AB) 4-H Beef Show. The 23 head female show was judged by Will Bradford.

Jayden Chomik won Grand Champion Steer at the Holden 4-H Beef Club Achievement Day. The 15 head steer show was judged by Will Bradford. Jayden’s steer Don weighed 1595lb and sold for $2.25/lb to D2 Electric, Camrose and R&C Yuha Farms, Rosalind.
