Mark Frost, Kingsey-Falls was elected President of the Quebec Charolais Association at their Annual General Meeting August 16th. Armand Roy, St-Bernard Lacolle was elected as the 1st Vice-President and Karine Dubuc, St-Patrice-De-Beaurivage, 2nd Vice-President. Chantal Raymond, Ste-Eulalie was elected as the Secretary/Treasurer. The meeting was held at Ferme Coujo, Bon-Conseil, QC. See the October Charolais Banner for more information.
NIER Lady 1L with her twin bull calves NIER Payday 8P and NIER Pay Check 9P (RUSS Jesse James 45J) won Champion Exotic Senior Female, Grand Champion Exotic Female and Supreme Champion Female at the Dawson Creek Exhibition. This pair is now qualified for Supreme at the Canadian Western Agribition.
John Chomiak passed away Thursday July 30th. John & his wife Cathie operated Chomiak Charolais near Mundare, AB. John took great pride in his herd and was a strong Charolais enthusiast. A Celebration of Life for John will be held Saturday August 22nd at 1:00 pm at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd, Sherwood Park, AB.
