Ricki Hill from Lenore, MB won Grand Champion Continuation Heifer at the Lenore 4-H Beef Club Show on July 4 and Grand Champion again at the Virden & District 4-H Fatstock Show & Sale on July 5.
Judges were Gracie Flaconer (Lenore judge) and Neil Carson (Virden Fatstock judge)
Michael Hunter, Roblin, was re-elected president of the Manitoba Charolais Association at their Annual General Meeting held August 10th in Brandon, MB. Owen Sellman, McCreary, was elected 1st-Vice President while Scott Baron, Carberry, fills the 2nd Vice-President position. Rae Trimble-Olson, Portage la Prairie, remains as the Secretary-Treasurer. Manitoba Charolais Ambassador of the year went to Hunter Charolais, Roblin. Complete details will be in the October issue of the Charolais Banner.
