Wilf Sieger of Wildor Farms, Coronation, AB passed away October 10th at the age of 99. Wilf started using Charolais bulls in the late 1950s and was president of the ACA in 1969 & 1970, a CCA director from 1973 to 1982 and president in 1978 & 1979. Wilf is survived by his four children, grand children, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 17, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Coronation Community Hall

Grand Champion Bull was Cornerview Keystone 32K, sired by LT Patriot 4004 Pld from Cornerview Charolais. Reserve Grand Champion Bull was Open Gate Kristoff 22K, sired by MCF Bohannon 305A from Open Gate Farm, Stanstead-Est.

CML Desirae 53H, sired by LT Patriot 4004 and her bull calf by LT Authority 7229 Pld from McLeod Livestock, Cochrane & Oberle Circle 7 Charolais, Shaunavon, SK was selected Grand Champion Female of the Olds (AB) Fall Classic Charolais (BOSS) Show, October 2nd. Judge Geoff Anderson, Bethune, SK then chose Miss Prairie Cove 110J, sired by TR CAG Carbon Copy 7630E ET as his Reserve Grand Champion of this 27 entry show. Grand Champion Bull was PCC Bourbon 118J, sired by CCC WC Redemption 7143 Pld ET from Prairie Cove Charolais, Alix; Steppler Farms, Miami, MB & Caprock Cattle Co., Muleshoe, TX. Reserve Grand Champion Bull was WGB Ruger 8J, sired by LT Ransom 8644 from Daines Cattle & O’Neill Livestock, Innisfail & Springside Farms, Airdrie.

Haley Rosso, Moose Jaw won Grand Champion Charolais Female at the Junior Stockman’s Show, September 24th in Swift Current, SK with Blackbern Honor 43H (SCX Triumph 50B, calf – LT Del Rey 6161 P). Reserve Grand Champion Charolais of this 8 entry show was Miss Prairie Cove 1227J (M&M Outsider 4003 PLD) exhibited by Fischer Cavers, LaRiviere, MB.

Katie Cox had the Grand Champion steer at the Renfew (ON) Fair, September 10th. Here steer Walt weighed 1,405 lb and sold for $9.25/lb to BEI Construction.
Tyson Black had the Res. Grand Champion steer with Johnny weighing 1,410 lb and selling for $5.00/lb to Mackenzie Motors.
