Airey re-elected MCA President
Shawn Airey, Rivers was re-elected President of the Manitoba Charolais Association at their Annual General Meeting held Jan. 9th in Brandon. The rest of the executive remained the same too with Hans Myhre, Dauphin as 1st Vice President, Jeff Cavers of LaRiviere as 2nd Vice President and Rae Trimble-Olson as Secretary-Treasurer. The ACA held their 2015 AGM on December 10 in Red Deer. The meeting is held in conjunction with the Alberta select Show and Sale. At the AGM Stephen Cholak, Lamont was elected as President, Stephen Johnson, Barrhead is the 1st Vice President and Kyle O’Neill, Red Deer County is the 2nd Vice. The rest of the board is Rod McLeod, Cochrane, Marina Rasmussen, Red Deer County, Wyatt Daines, Red Deer County, Tyler Bullick, Duchess, Sven Jensen, Warburg, Tracee Vikse, Donalda.
Springside Farms and Kay-R Land and Cattle win the Single Bull Show.
SOS Chuck Wagon 54C a January 27 son of Silverstream Geddes G102 was selected as the people’s choice champion at this year’s Alberta Select Single Bull Show. He is owned by Springside Farms. The Reserve Champion Bull was KAYR Extender 804C a January 17 son of Rolling D Classic 878U exhibited by Kay-R Land and Cattle, Waskatenau.

Springside Farms Exhibited the Champion pen of three bulls. The pen was made up of a Winn Mans Chavez 826Y son, a Silverstream Geddes G102 son, and a Circle Cee Legend 307A son. The reserve pen went to Mcleod Livestock. Their pen consisted of three full brothers sired by Gerrard Pastor 35Z.
