Matthew Howe had Reserve Champion Steer with his 1596 lb. Charolais cross steer. He sold for $7.80/lb to Kenbrook Trucking. Matthew also had Reserve Champion Female with HKS Ms Lois 43L with calf at side HKS Ms Lois 80P. Judges were Mac & Shelby Oberle.

Rebecca Porter and her Charolais cross steer “Lil’ Smoke” were crowned the Reserve Champion Steer at the Prince Albert Regional Show & Sale.

Katie Kolenosky exhibited SVY Elsa 550N who was named Champion Heifer & Supreme Overall Champion Female at the Kerrobert Regional 4-H Show in early June. Judge was Kevin Wirsta, Elk Point, AB.

Scarlet Smyth with her Reserve Champion Steer at the Mukk Boots or Mittens Show in Webb, SK. The show was judged by Buck Thompson. The steer is a home raised char x club calf.

The Saskatchewan Charolais Association Board of Directors held their 63rd Annual General Meeting on June 11th at The Willows Golf Club in Saskatoon. Dale Weinbender, Canora, SK is staying on as president, 1st Vice-President remains Justin Cay, Kinistino and Scott Sunderland, Saint Front continues as 2nd Vice-President. Sarah Hordos retains her job as Secretary-Treasurer. Mason Beck, Milestone and Cassidi Elder, Coronach were newly elected to the board of directors. Chase Airey and his heifer HTA Wynona 593N, a Legacy’s Hulk Hogan 50J daughter, were named Grand Champion heifer at the Kennedy Jackpot Show. The show was held in Kennedy, SK on June 6th.

Katie Kolenosky won the Perdue Steer and Heifer Jackpot Show with her heifer SVY Elsa 550N. The show was held June 6 in Perdue, SK and was judged by Luke Germain.

Katie Kolenosky and her heifer SVY Elsa 550N notched another win under their belt, being named the Grand Champion Female at Agribition Spring Fling on May 30th in Regina. Judge was Eric Boon of Lucky Lake, SK.
