JWX Wynnemaker 47M was named Grand Champion Female at the Claybank Bricks & Beef Junior Show. The LT Patriot 2208 PLD daughter showed with calf at side KFC Wynnemaker 48P, by ONL Back Road 35L, was also named the Champion Heifer Calf. The pair was exhibited by Riley Breuer.
Elise Howe exhibited the Champion Jackpot Bull Calf, HKS PHILADELPHIA 14P, sired by Sparrows Wheaton 101J.

Thomas (Teg) Grieve passed on Monday, August 31st, at the Fillmore Health Center at the age of 93. Thomas leaves to mourn his passing, wife Karen and their 4 children Dylan, Angel, Brett and Step Daughter Deanna. From his previous marriage he leaves his children Cindy, Lorena, Scott as well as his sister Shirley Lueck. As well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Thomas was born on March 29th, 1933, in Hardieville AB. He grew up on small acreage near Lethbridge. He with his family moved to Fillmore in 1950, where he then finished grade 12. In 1995 Tom and Karen met, and he gained stepdaughter Deanna then he and Karen had Son Dylan and adopted Angel and Brett. They continued with the 4H, sports and community events. Tom was an avid ball player and curler; he played ball with the Fillmore Rockets for 53 years! He spent countless hours coaching and watching all his kids, grandkids and great grandkids play sports too.

Teg spent his whole life raising, showing and fitting cattle, as well as serving on various breed associations and producer groups. Tom owned many cows in his day, but his favourite were Herefords and Charolais. He passed his love of cows down to his kids, who all showed in 4H and CCYA shows across Canada. He was also an exhibitor in Agribition for 51 years and loved every year more than the last. Teg and Scott were the original Charolais breeders in the family. They operated under the name of “Clipper Cattle Company’.

In recent years, Tom couldn’t be out with the cattle, but he enjoyed touring the pastures in the truck, attending cattle sales in Candiac whenever he had the chance and enjoyed visits with his family while doing so.

A graveside service will be held on September 26th, 2026, at the Fillmore Cemetery at 3:00pm, everyone welcome. Please bring a chair if you so require. A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at the farm North of Fillmore following the service.

The Provincial Saskatchewan 4H Beef Show was held at the beginning of August in Lloydminister, SK. Matthew Howe exhibited the Champion 3 Year Old Pair with HKS MS LOIS 43L with calf at side HKS MS LOIS 80P who was later named Champion Heifer Calf. Elise Howe exhibited HKS MS LANE 51N who was named Champion Yearling Heifer. Judges Ted and Connor Creech then selected Elise’s Yearling Heifer as the Reserve Grand Champion Female.

Katie Kolenosky and her heifer SVY Miss Jewel 646P were slapped Reserve Champion female in the Ladies of the Grasslands Heifer Calf Jackpot. The show was held in Swift Current, and judged by Colt Blacklock.

Chase Airey of HTA Charolais was slapped Champion at the Harding Fair Jackpot Heifer Show in Harding, MB on July 17, 2026 with HTA Wyonna 593N sired by Legacys Hulk Hogan 50J.

Blake Airey won Grand Champion steer at Rivers & District 4-H Beef Club Achievement on July 2nd. Her steer, Pumba, weighed 1575 lbs and was purchased by Redline Transport Ltd, Rivers, MB.

She also won Champion Continuation Pair with HTA Purity 450M, sired by LT Governor 1560 PLD with her calf HTA CYCLONE 617P, sired by HVA River 873L at side and then went on to win Grand Champion Female.

BRCHE MCC Rumplemintz 4501 and her SVY Stillwater 312L bull calf, Southland Junior Mint 64P were named Supreme Champion Female at the Perdue Cattle Show. They are now qualified for the CN Beef Supreme at Canadian Western Agribition.
