The Reserve Pen of 3 was a pen from Daines Cattle & O’Neill Livestock, Innisfail with a son of WIA Backwater Jack 060 P, a son of WGD Cool Cowboy 8E and a son of LT Ransom 8644. The 6 pen show waws judged by Jackie Cavers, La Riviere, MB; Kelly Howe, Moose Jaw, SK and Jason McQuaig, Sexsmith.

SOS Legacy Pld 39L, a January 14th son of CTP Duty-Free 358D, from Springside Cattle Co., Airdrie was chosen as this years Champion at The Alberta Select single bull show, December 8th, Red Deer, AB. The Reserve Champion Bull of this 12 entry show was SOS Lumberjack 42L, a January 15th son of SOS Timber 88J, shown by Springside Cattle Co. The show was judged by Jackie Cavers, La Riviere, MB; Kelly Howe, Moose Jaw, SK and Jason McQuaig, Sexsmith.

Jamie Ehret, Hilda was elected President of the Alberta Charolais Association at their annual meeting held December 8 in Red Deer, AB. Marina Rasmussen, Innisfail was elected 1st Vice-President with Scott Anderson, Minburn selected as the 2nd Vice-President. Breeder of the year went to Char-Maine Ranching, Cardston. Lloyd and Josephine Coates Family received the Pioneer Award. The AGM is held in conjunction with the Alberta Select.
