Judge PJ Budler, Fortworth Texas selected Miss Prairie Cove 328L, sired by SVY Trust 6H & Miss Prairie Cove 306L, sired by RBM Keystone H41. The Reserve Champion Pair of Heifers was Harvie Ms Hilda 45L, sired by SOS Jackpot Pld 158J & Harvie Ms Gellia 43L, sired by Turnbull’s Jabba 25J, exhibited by Harvie Ranching, Olds.
The Lloydminster (SK) Stockade Charolais BOSS Show was held November 2nd and judged by Kyle & Jocelyn O’Neil, Innisfail, AB. Grand Champion Female of this 30 entry BOSS show was Elders Dalyce Rayel 178J, sired by TR CAG Carbon Copy 7630E and her calf sired by Pro-Char Winchester 6D, exhibited by Lakeview Charolais, Marwayne, AB. Reserve Champion Female was DVY Luck Be A Lady 10L, sired by FTCC Bold Design 20G, exhibited by Voegeli Bros. Charolais, Maymont. Kay-R Land & Cattle, Waskatenau, AB exhibited the Grand Champion Bull, RCR Counting Up 1332P, sired by LT Countdown 9712 Pld. Reserve Champion Bull was Bar SK Outsider 310L, sired by M&M Outsider 4003 Pld, exhibited by Bar SK Cattle Company, Lloydminster.

Judges Dennis & Katie Serhienko, Maymont, SK then chose WGD Miss Luna 21L, sired by WGD Ruger 8J, from Daines Cattle & O’Neill Livestock, Red Deer, County as their Reserve Grand Champion of this 15 entry show. Grand Champion Bull was SOS Kickstart PLD 825K, sired by SOS Apex PLD 139F, from Springside Cattle Co., Steppler Farms, Miami, MB and Peter Peters, Souris, PE. Reserve Grand Bull was ONL Back Road 35L, sired by WIA Backwater Jack 060P, from Daines Cattle & O’Neill Livestock.
Keely Marshall of the Bow-Inn (AB) 4-H Beef Club had Grand Champion Steer at the June 4 and 5 Red Deer District 4-H show. Keely’s Charolais sired steer weighed 1347lb and sold for $7.70/lb to Brandt Agriculture & Tri S Fertilizer.
Preslie Stone of the Tulliby Lake (AB) 4-H Multi Club was selected Reserve Grand Champion at the May 27th Achievement Day. Preslie’s steer Silver Dollar weighed 1175lb and was purchased by Garnier Custom Feeding and Marwayne Ag Services. Konrad & Autumn Seabrook judged the show.
Colby Hollman won Grand Champion Steer at the Knee Valley 4-H Beef Show held May 29 in Innisfail (AB). Colby’s steer Platinum weighed 1324lb and sold for $6.75/lb to Pro-N 2, Innisfail. The show was judged by Brody Gardner, Innisfail.
Kailee Murray, Marwayne (AB) won Grand Champion Market and Home Raised Steer at the May 29th St. Walburg Regional 4-H Show & Sale. Her silver steer Smoke Show weighed 1340 lb and was purchased by Diamond 7 Meats, Lloydminster. The 47 head steer show was judged by Steven Myer. Kailee also won Grand Champion Yearling and Home Raised Heifer and Grand Champion Two-Year Old Cow/Calf Pair. Her Two-Year Old Purebred Charolais Pair Elder’s Dalyse Rayel 178J (TR Cag Carbon Copy 7630E ET) also won Supreme Female, with her Yearling heifer taking Reserve Supreme Female honours. Kailee also won first place breeders herd.
Kacie Murray, Marwayne, won Reserve Grand Champion Market and Home Grown Steer. Kacie’s Charolais sired steer weighed 1440 lb and was purchased by Tytan Land Services and Fare Connect Travel. Kacie also won Reserve Champion Home Grown and Yearling Heifer at the St. Walburg Regional Show.
To top the day off the Murray sisters then added Brynn’s heavy weight steer to win Champion Pen of 3 Steers.
Brianna Lyster won Grand Champion Steer at the East Sounding Creek (AB) 4-H Beef Club Show. She also won Grand Champion Steer at the Hanna District 4-H Show and Sale. Her steer weighed 1,544 lb and sold for $5.35/lb to Hanna Motor Products. The 57 head show was held June 10 and judged by Russell Sevcik.
Brandt Lyster won Reserve Grand Champion at the East Sounding Creek 4-H Beef Club Achievement day. Brandt’s steer weighed 1,544 lb and sold for $4.80/lb to Brandt Tractor, Hanna.
June 2, 2023 judges Riley Lefrentz & Kyle Yaremko at 4-H On Parade, Calgary (AB) selected Abigail Tilleman, of the Crossfield/Madden (AB) 4-H Beef Club Overall Grand Champion Breeders Herd. Abigail’s Champion herd consisted of Nier Kataoke 1K (WC Milestone 5223 P), Nier Jolene 1J (WC Milestone 5223 P), with her calf Nier Lady 1L at side and Spruce View Halyna 4H (HTA Defender 846F) with twins Nier Lola 3L and Nier Luxembourg 4L at side.
