Grand Champion Female of this 38 entry BOSS Show was SOS Beryle Pld 811K, sired by BRCHE White Bear 8505 Pld ET and her calf sired by PCC Cobain 231K, exhibited by Sherwood Farms, Vermillion, Circle Cee Charolais, Lamont and Springside Cattle Corp, Airdrie. Reserve Champion Female was Justamere Priscilla 221M, sired by SVY Counter Point 222K, exhibited by Justamere Farms, Lloydminster. Bar SK Cattle Company, Lloydminster exhibited the Grand Champion Bull BAR SK Strikeout 310L, sired by M&M Outsider 4003 Pld ET. Reserve Champion Bull was KAYR Tremor 7015L, sired by RBM Keystone H41, exhibited by Kay-R Charolais, Waskatenau.

Lester Millang of Camrose, AB passed away October 27th at the age of 89. Lester was a Canadian Charolais Association director from 1992 to 2000 and president in 1995 & 1996. Starting in the Charolais business in the late 1970s, the purebred herd of Millang Stock Farm was dispersed in 2006. Lester & Agnes were added to the CCA Honour Roll in 2007. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, November 4th at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4810 50 St, Camrose.

Beck’s Throttle 201K, sired by DC/KCM Marksman E1145 PET, exhibited by Steppler Farms, Miami, MB won Supreme Champion Bull honors at the Brandon, MB Ag-Ex Show October 25th. There were eight breeds competing.

Longview Faith 1K, sired by BRCHE White Bear 8505 Pld ET and her heifer calf sired by WCR Bold Move 168 P, exhibited by Longview Cattle Co., Grenfell, SK was Grand Champion Female at the Brandon (MB) Ag-Ex Show, October 26th. Judge Chad Hollinger of Neudorf, SK then selected SVY Berkley’s Star 302L sired by SVY Trust 6H exhibited by Longview Cattle Co. and Serhienko Cattle Co., Maymont as the Reserve Grand Champion of this 47 entry (BOSS) show.
Grand Champion bull was Beck’s Throttle 201K, sired by DC/KCM Marksman E1145 PET from Steppler Farms, Miami, MB. Reserve Grand Champion was Longview Prosper 6L, sired by M&M Outsider 4003 Pld from Longview Cattle Co.

JMB Duplicate 402M, sired by TR CAG Carbon Copy 7630 ET, exhibited by JMB Charolais, Brookdale, MB was Champion over all breeds in the Bull Calf Jackpot Show, October 23th at Brandon Ag-Ex.

Cornerview Charolais, Cobden, ON won Supreme Champion Pair of Bulls over all breeds at the Expo Boeuf Show in Victoriaville, QC on October 13th. Cornerview Memphis 34M & Cornerview Milwaukee 30M are both sired by LT Justified 1528 Pld.

Cowal Miller, Jarvis, ON won Supreme Champion Female over 43 entries with his heifer calf sired by Sparrows Trump Card 943G at the Caledonia Fair 4-H Show October 5th. Judge Adam Smith, Guelph also made Cowal’s 1,600 lb silver steer Grand Champion in the nine head class.
